Teacup Thursday: "Hammersley & Co."

Here's a black, classy tea cup which Miss Spenser received on one of her birthdays, perhaps it was her 18th birthday?? We enjoyed the unusualness of this cup so much that we went on a search for others.

We are up to 4 black tea cups now...so one day when she has a home of her own, she can share a cup of tea with a friend in her two black tea cups, and I can too! We enjoy these black tea cups with our old, black/gold Hall Teapot.

  1. What a gorgeous teacup. I have never seen one with fuschias before. The flowers are so vibrant on the black background. I really need to add a black cup to my collection.

  3. I always like teacups that have something decorative inside the cup. This one is spectacular!

  4. Crownford did some background pieces years ago that were lovely Chintz. This is beautiful! Ithink Miss Spenser will have quite a stash if this keeps up!

  7. I have quite a few (around 10!) with florals, etc. and vibrant colors inside and out. Very elegant. They were GIVEN to me by my daughter-in-law's 2nd cousin and originally belonged to the cousin's grandmother. I've have to find out more about them, now that my interest is re-peaked by yours. I'll have to feature mine like you do on my blog HopeChest... and all things tea -- http://marshashopechest.blogspot.com/
