Happy Birthday to Princess Diana!

Today would have marked Princess Diana's 52nd birthday! She was a remarkable woman with a big heart and a lot of love for people! Her ability to love people has passed on to her two sons, William and Harry. 






England's Rose, The People's Princess, will be forever missed! Happy Birthday Princess!

    She was remarkable. I absolutely adored her. I had forgotten how closely in age we are...........her William is my eldest daughter's age and I remember watching the Princess and her sweet little boy on the tellie and how oddly connected I felt to her. I know that's silly, but hormones play funny on one's emotions.

    She would be so proud of her wonderful sons. They make us all proud FOR her!

    I pray for her soul - and hope she found her free spirit, finally. May she rest in peace. You are gone, Diana - but never EVER forgotten!

    A great loss to England and the rest of us who thought so highly of the lovely Diana. My huge box of Diana memorabilia hasn't been opened for years, perhaps it's time to relive the memories.

The Last of the Summer Roses are Here!  Here's a Recipe for you to enjoy with the last of this year's roses.  Rose Petal Ice Cream 2 C Heavy Cream 1 C Sugar 1 C Rose Petals 2 Tea Spoons of Rose Congou Black Tea 1-2 drops of food coloring In a heavy bottomed saucepan heat milk, sugar, rose petals and Rose Congou Black Tea over moderate heat until almost boiling.   Take off stove; place a lid on top and steep for 20 minutes.   Strain, place in fridge to cool; then process in an ice cream maker.   Serve in chilled glasses with a few rose petals for garnish.   Yields 4 servings.   Keep in mind, the cream makes this Ice Cream rich, so a votive cup of Ice Cream is a perfect serving size.  Enjoy!
