Teacup Thursday: "Friendly Village"

Over the river, and through the wood,
To Grandfather's house we go;
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
through the white and drifted snow.

Doesn’t this little town look friendly??? Well, it should it’s known as Friendly Village by the Johnson Brothers. This set my mom has been collecting for years!

The Teapot and Teacups have a winter scene on them, but the dinner plates are all different seasons! We usually use these dishes on special occasions and they table always looks so pretty with all the various scenes!

  1. I adore the Friendly Village winter scene. I have 2 teacups that come out on display every Christmas. Your teapot is gorgeous. You are so sweet to include one of my Christmas cards here. Oh, it really made my day to see it on YOUR blog. Wishing you and your family all of God's rich blessings in the New Year. Hopefully I'll get organized enough to join you for Teacup Thursday in 2011.

  2. What a surprise to see my set of good dishes as your teacup Thursday. I started collecting these about eight years ago and we have enjoyed many happy meals together as a family, and I have served on them many a tea for friends. Next time I have tea with my teapot and cups I will remember that your mother is out there enjoying hers too. Happy New Year
