Today, I’d like to share with you about my Grandpa Cherryholmes and his new hobby! Ever since Grandpa retired earlier this year, he’s been having so much fun going to tag sales and purchasing teacups! Yes, teacups for my mom and I. His only requirement of the teacup is that it’s from ENGLAND.


Here’s a picture of the his most recent purchase.

This one was his favorite. He really likes the ones with Flowers and Gold on them!

My Grandpa Cherryholmes is one Special Guy! He has a way of making you feel so special and loved! We love you Grandpa!

    Oooo, I have come home! :) What stunning teacups, and if this is a taste of what Thursdays are like....I'll be back!!

    My mother-in-law instilled in me "only from England" as well.

    Does he have a price ceiling or does he bite the bullet if he likes the teacup?

Last of the Summer Rose: Rose Ice Cream Recipe

The Last of the Summer Roses are Here!  Here's a Recipe for you to enjoy with the last of this year's roses.  Rose Petal Ice Cream 2 C Heavy Cream 1 C Sugar 1 C Rose Petals 2 Tea Spoons of Rose Congou Black Tea 1-2 drops of food coloring In a heavy bottomed saucepan heat milk, sugar, rose petals and Rose Congou Black Tea over moderate heat until almost boiling.   Take off stove; place a lid on top and steep for 20 minutes.   Strain, place in fridge to cool; then process in an ice cream maker.   Serve in chilled glasses with a few rose petals for garnish.   Yields 4 servings.   Keep in mind, the cream makes this Ice Cream rich, so a votive cup of Ice Cream is a perfect serving size.  Enjoy!
