Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...

What a busy week we had last week! Two Charter Buses - just days apart...one on Wednesday and one on Thursday with 44 people each time. We were blessed to have our neighbor/friend (and newly adopted sister!!) Cindy Carter help us out....she was perfect...couldn't have asked for a better helper!!

I am sure our neighbor wondered what was going on...he was out mowing his lawn on Wednesday, a beautiful peaceful day, when this big charter bus came rolling down the country road...I am sure the farm animals wondered what this new vehicle was too! (smile).





Enjoy some photos of the day! Off to get busy for our Celebration of the Pioneer Woman this coming weekend...everything is coming together very well for this program....we are excited to bring it to you! Have a blessed Monday!

    How exciting it must be for the ladies in the buses to drive up your road and be greeted so warmly by you. I bet you'll soon have a loyal following of grateful customers who will return again and again. What a blessing you are! The countryside there is so breathtaking!

Last of the Summer Rose: Rose Ice Cream Recipe

The Last of the Summer Roses are Here!  Here's a Recipe for you to enjoy with the last of this year's roses.  Rose Petal Ice Cream 2 C Heavy Cream 1 C Sugar 1 C Rose Petals 2 Tea Spoons of Rose Congou Black Tea 1-2 drops of food coloring In a heavy bottomed saucepan heat milk, sugar, rose petals and Rose Congou Black Tea over moderate heat until almost boiling.   Take off stove; place a lid on top and steep for 20 minutes.   Strain, place in fridge to cool; then process in an ice cream maker.   Serve in chilled glasses with a few rose petals for garnish.   Yields 4 servings.   Keep in mind, the cream makes this Ice Cream rich, so a votive cup of Ice Cream is a perfect serving size.  Enjoy!

"We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!" Mom was the first to get this set of “Cup of Christmas Tea” teacup and teapot. She received them many years ago by a friend in California, Dayna Esquivel. When we moved out here to the country, Mom and I began enjoying tea together in the afternoons. That Christmas Mom found another set of “Christmas Tea” teacups and teapot and purchased them for me! We always get these teacups out at Christmas and sip tea out of them on a regular basis.
