Paris Day 2

Day 2 in Paris! Saw a bunch of major sites! It was all very exciting and now I'm relaxing in our hotel room and putting my feet up! Lots of walking! Enjoy the photos!

I'm in love with these cream colored houses and their red flowers! They look so much fun to paint! This is only one of the many (and I do mean many) photos I took of these types of houses!

Hard to believe it was real! After only seeing it in photos all my life and to be standing in front of it was pretty amazing!

I once photoshopped the Eiffel Tower into one of the backs of my photos, but today, I didn't have to!

    Oh do I love Paris. Thanks for taking me there in your photos. Great shot of you by the Eiffel Tower. And yes, the best macarons are in Paris.

Last of the Summer Rose: Rose Ice Cream Recipe

The Last of the Summer Roses are Here!  Here's a Recipe for you to enjoy with the last of this year's roses.  Rose Petal Ice Cream 2 C Heavy Cream 1 C Sugar 1 C Rose Petals 2 Tea Spoons of Rose Congou Black Tea 1-2 drops of food coloring In a heavy bottomed saucepan heat milk, sugar, rose petals and Rose Congou Black Tea over moderate heat until almost boiling.   Take off stove; place a lid on top and steep for 20 minutes.   Strain, place in fridge to cool; then process in an ice cream maker.   Serve in chilled glasses with a few rose petals for garnish.   Yields 4 servings.   Keep in mind, the cream makes this Ice Cream rich, so a votive cup of Ice Cream is a perfect serving size.  Enjoy!
