Over the next few weeks, I'd like to share with you different meanings behind the Violet Flower! Here's it's history in folklore:
In folklore violets are depicted as a source of protection against evil spirits. The leaves could be used in healing plasters, salves and antiseptics. They were also thought to cure insomnia. During the Medieval Times were also given as tokens of love and symbols of faithfulness, both because of their lovely smell, and their protective and healing connotations.
