A Manly Teacup in honor of my Uncle Chris (Donna's Brother)! Last month he won the Ford Fantasy Shelby GT500 Special Edition Mustang!
My Uncle's new Car!

This weekend Uncle Chris, my grandpa, and my Uncle Jeff are at the Daytona races! These three guys are huge motor heads so as you can imagine they are over the moon right now having the times of their lives!!! If you'll be watching the race, keep an eye out you might see them on TV!!

    I love Friendly Village!

    Since I've been writing about it, a friend of mine saw a complete set on Craig's List for $50.00. I "encouraged" her to go get it immediately.

    She is now the proud owner of Friendly Village (and I am NOT jealous, no I am NOT). ;)

    My husband and I did watch some of the race the other night. Crazy! Sparks flying everywhere. It was fun to watch. Congrats on his car win!

    Have never seen the larger cup here, but have the smaller girlie size. Love this pattern in both sizes.

    Hello My Dear,Just a little note to let you know I still like being included in you Thurs. Tea party.I have a recipe very similar to yours and I love it.As I've said before I also own Johnson Bro. Village set but I don't think I've seen the extra large cup.Now days I see the set at Marshell ect.If I see it I'll pick one up for Coffee :) The Lord continue to bless you-Denise

Last of the Summer Rose: Rose Ice Cream Recipe

The Last of the Summer Roses are Here!  Here's a Recipe for you to enjoy with the last of this year's roses.  Rose Petal Ice Cream 2 C Heavy Cream 1 C Sugar 1 C Rose Petals 2 Tea Spoons of Rose Congou Black Tea 1-2 drops of food coloring In a heavy bottomed saucepan heat milk, sugar, rose petals and Rose Congou Black Tea over moderate heat until almost boiling.   Take off stove; place a lid on top and steep for 20 minutes.   Strain, place in fridge to cool; then process in an ice cream maker.   Serve in chilled glasses with a few rose petals for garnish.   Yields 4 servings.   Keep in mind, the cream makes this Ice Cream rich, so a votive cup of Ice Cream is a perfect serving size.  Enjoy!
