A Little Sampling from our Victorian Ghost Story Tea!  A Ghostly Chocolate Cupcake!  To add some spooky fun to your Halloween treats this year, simply decorate your favorite chocolate cupcake with a snack size NutterButter that has been dipped in White Chocolate. The little prince was christened today at St. James Palace in London. Such darling photos have surfaced revealing an adorable little baby with chubby cheeks and all! Prince George's christening gown was a replica of the one Queen Victoria had made for her eldest daughter in 1841. Such a sweet little family!  View More pictures here at the Telegraph

Hello Autumn, my favorite season of them all!!!  It's hard to decide what I love best about this time of year, but to name a few...  I love getting out all my fall-time clothes - My jackets, boots and scarves! I love cozy times by the fire! Apple Cider and Pecan Pie! The colors... Orange, Brown, and Golden But most of all, this season makes me think of family. With the nights getting dark earlier, it feels as if the family draws nearer... in the evening gathering around the fireside with a beloved book, favorite blanket, good conversation and laughter... I feel this time of year brings reflection and a sense of slowing down.  Here are a few pictures of my favorite things:  Wouldn't it be fun to put Autumn in a Bottle??  Happy Autumn Tea Friends!  What is your favorite thing about this season?

Yesterday, mom and I had our own bout of spontaneity... We had heard the author, Susan Branch, was coming to the Midwest for a book signing. She is one of Mom's favorite authors; I grew up with her in our home. Susan was to be in Iowa City on Saturday for a book signing. We both wanted to go, but we had a tea at the tearoom and couldn't make it. We were disappointed... but after looking around on her website discovered that she was going to be in Kansas City on Monday evening! We didn't know if our busy week could handle a mad dash to Kansas City, but we decided it was a once in a life-time opportunity and that we should really try and go! And so we did!  We decided we'd also make it a prelude to my birthday which is at the end of the month. Mom thought it would be fun to have...
