Valentine Guests: Father and Daughter Tea

Doesn't  this Father and Daughter warm your heart!

For Valentine's Day, this sweet father brought his little princess to tea! They were the most charming pair! Here are some pictures this father granted us permission share with all of you!

Mom and I thought this little girl would have been a perfect fit in our family ~ her freckles and all! But unfortunately, her daddy did want to give her up! haha!

Downton Abbey: Guess Who?

Here's a fun post on the actors of Downton Abbey! Some actors I hardly recognize in real life and others I'd recognize anywhere! Have fun seeing how many you can name!

Recognize her? (Hope so!)

Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary!

How about her?

Phyllis Logan as Mrs. Hughes! (I thought she was tricky!)

How about this Beauty?

Laura Carmichael as Edith Crawley
(They've had her beauty hidden for many of the seasons, but I felt she got to shine more in Season 4!)

Recognize this beloved character?

Joanne Froggatt as the darling Anna Bates!

Can you guess who this is??

Cara Theobald as Ivy, the kitchen maid!
(This one took me a while!)

Who's this Fellow?

You Guessed it! Mr. Molesley! (Kevin Doyle)

Recognize this Little Lady???

Fun Loving (and a little mischievous) cousin Rose! (Lily James)

Recognize this smiling face?

Who could forget darling Daisy!  (Sophie McShera)

Hope you had fun with these photos! We are looking forward to our Downton Weekend! If you attended one of our Sold Out Downton Teas, be sure to leave us a review! TeaMap.com

Til Next time!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day Tea Friends!

Look at this sweet Valentine's we received!

I love that my mom has always made Valentine's Day more than just a day for lovers, but a day to celebrate love of all kinds! Family Love, Friendship Love, Animal Love, truly all kinds of love!

Quotes are one of my favorite thing to collect! So here are some of my favorite quotes in honor of this day of Love!

A hundred hearts would be too few To carry all my love for you. ~Author Unknown

I've fallen in love many times... always with you.
~Author Unknown

My whole heart for my whole life.
~French saying used on poesy rings

"If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden." ~Attributed to Claudia Ghandi

A Few for my Furry Friends:

"The poor dog, in Life the Firmest Friend, the First to Welcome, the Foremost to Defend"
~ Lord Byron

"A house is not a home without a pet." ~ Anonymous

"...he will be our friend for always and always and always."
~ Rudyard Kipling

For my Jane Austen Lovers...
heart melting words of the men of Jane Austen

“I come here with no expectations, only to profess, now that I am at liberty to do so, that my heart is and always will be yours.”

~ Sense and Sensibility

"I have loved none but you. Unjust I may have been, weak and resentful I have been, but never inconstant. You alone have brought me to Bath. For you alone, I think and plan."
--  from Persuasion by Jane Austen

Here's another from Persuasion, which I have not read yet, but after reading these quotes, I think I need to pull that one out!
"You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago."

And of course, we cannot leave out the beloved Mr. Darcy:

"You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you."
~Mr. Darcy

Happy Valentine's Day!

A Wintery Scene

I'm sure I've told you all before, but I adore Autumn! It is simply my favorite time of year!! Yet sadly, it is over too soon and in comes all too eager Old-Man Winter! In efforts to try and see the bright side to things... I thought I'd share with you my favorite way to enjoy Winter - through pictures! haha! I usually joke that I only like snow on Christmas Day and then I'm ready for some warmth!

Isn't this horse a beauty?

I'd take London any day - Summer or Winter!

This little Village looks inviting!

Being a Kitty-Lover - I couldn't resist not sharing this picture my darling kitty, Gilbert!!!

Ahhh!!! The warmth of a fireside!!

What is your favorite season?
Are you a winter lover or a tolerator like I am?

Stay Warm! Till Next time!

A Compassionate Note: Breast Cancer Empathy

Today, Pauline, Donna's Mom and Miss Spenser's Grandma, starts her chemotherapy. The chemo is for prevention...all the lymph nodes were clear - Praise God...but we are still sad for her to have to go through this next journey. She cried when she learned she will lose her hair...why does chemo have to take so much away from us??

So hard...makes us sad. But...she is a fighter, a strong woman, one we so admire and we know she will be a trooper as she goes through this. We wanted to let you know, that we are standing behind all of you who are fighters and survivors...holding you up in our thoughts and prayers today.

"...Be Strong, and Courageous. Do not be terrified;
do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God,
will be with you wherever you go."
 ~ Joshua 1:9

 God Bless You All!
