Cline Girls and their Grandma At our Edwardian Fashion Show we were graced upon by the lovely Cline Family! This family is truly delightful (not to mention very pretty too!) The Cline Family has been to our tearoom many times. For this Mother's Day, the girls made a special effort to honor their grandmother. They wrote a sweet poem for their grandmother inviting her to tea. We asked them if they'd be so gracious to let us share it with all of you, as it was just too endearing not too!! We had a busy weekend here at Miss Spenser's...we were finally able to share our House of Elliott Fashion Show Tea Party. We showcased clothing worn from 1900-1920. As some of you will recall, our previously scheduled event was May 4, unfortunately a surprise snow storm made it's way to Iowa causing wires to come down and our home to be without power...with GEO thermal and an all electric house, makes it a bit difficult to brew a pot of tea!! Thankfully, most guests were able to reschedule...and for those who couldn't make it...we are still, so very sorry! Today is one of the loveliest days of May... because, today is Mom's Birthday! Happy Birthday Mom!  We're going to celebrate all week long as Mom and I are heading to Kansas City for a Girls weekend! It will be fun!!  Here's a sweet and thoughtful gift Mom received the other day from a dear friend!  Look - European Money for our trip to Europe in August! So fun!  This looks like a yummy cookbook!!  Hope you have a Happy Birthday Mom!
