Our Guitar Man...

Image
Today we sent Chase off for his Holiday Tour with Lorie Line. There's a strange quietness in our house... We're happy for him as he pursues his music dreams, but sad for ourselves because we always miss our "Guitar Man" when he's not around! He can make you love, he can make you cry  He will bring you down, then he'll get you high  Somethin' keeps him goin', miles and miles a day  To find another place to play. He'll be in a few different towns in Iowa! Here's a list of his tour dates: LorieLine.com If you're able to make it to one of the concerts, be sure to cheer really loud! ha!

Things that give Delight...

Image
People often ask how did we get all of this stuff? Trust us on this one...it's been from years of collecting, but one thing is true ~ we rely on the emotional quality of the things we purchase. Antique or not, it has to be beautiful and give delight. It's really that simple!! Hope you enjoy a few of our favorite things...

Rainy Day Weekend

Image
It has been a Rainy-Day weekend; however with it being so dry this past summer, we are all thankful for the rain.  Rain. I love rainy days were I have no where I have to be and nothing to do!  Today, I think I shall make a pot of tea, pull out those books I've been meaning to read… Maybe do some knitting… watch a girlie movie!   What are you going to be doing on this rainy day Sunday!? Maybe bake some cookies? Call that friend you haven't talked to in a while? Pull out a Crossword or Sudoku Puzzle? Take a nap? Whatever you decide to do, I hope you relax and enjoy yourself!

Teacup Thursday: Bell China

Image
"Just before the death of flowers, And before they are buried in snow, There comes a festival season When nature is all aglow." Author Unknown Happy Teacup Thursday!!! I wanted to share with you all the lovely teacup I received for my birthday last week!! Isn't it pretty!? It's made by Bell China. It reminds me of a Heirloom print from Royal Albert.  Other's Who Are Participating in Teacup Thursday!
