England Trip - Tea in the Garden Day 1
A quick post of some photos from our first day in England!
We had Tea in the Garden...
Clotted Cream!
Our lovely hosts... Alan and Ilse
Mom and I getting excited to try clotted cream for the first time!
Alan's Fabulous Scones
Ilse's yummy Lemon Drizzle Cake
Alan's Alpine Strawberries... the kind Jane Austen would enjoy!
'Til next time! Cherrio!
How how LOVELY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, isn't real clotted cream amazing? It's more like butter - isn't supposed to be very sweet.
The way to properly eat scones: spoon some clotted cream on your plate, spoon some jam on your plate- break off a piece of scone, take your knife and put c cream and jam on the little piece and eat. Repeat till gone.
Thought you may want to know this in case you didn't! Jane Austen would be so happy and proud of you!
You look a lot like your pretty Momma. What a pretty garden. So enjoying taking this trip with you both! Thanks so much for sharing!
I am traveling vicariously throughout England and Germany with the 2 of you as I know that I won't get there. I really enjoyed the photos and hearing about the lovely tea in the garden! The flowers looked so pretty, and your food made me hungry! Enjoy!

I have been thinking of both of you. Thanks so much for sharing a bit of your traveling tea time with us. We met one of the exchange students attending our school this year. He is a wonderful German boy who enjoyed playing cards at our camper during the county fair. Hope the rest of your trip is as wonderful as both of you.
