Teacup Thursday: The Tea Cozy Tearoom

Image
While in California, Kiley and I took a little road trip to Cambria! Such a cute little town! We had fun shopping at the little antique shops, spending the night at Ollie-berry Bed and Breakfast, visiting Hearst Castle and of course... taking tea at the "Tea Cozy Tearoom"!  This place was great! Inside I felt like I was in a real British House (or at least what I'd imagine a British House feeling like!)  They served so much food! It was all so good!!!  Yummy Scones!  Just looking at the pictures makes me hungry!  Cheers!  Other's Who Are Participating in Teacup Thursday! A Violet Teacup and a Sip of Folklore

Image
I don't think you can ever go wrong with a Violet Teacup!  They are such a classic!  Over the next few weeks, I'd like to share with you different meanings behind the Violet Flower! Here's it's history in folklore:   In folklore violets are depicted as a source of protection against evil spirits. The leaves could be used in healing plasters, salves and antiseptics. They were also thought to cure insomnia. During the Medieval Times were also given as tokens of love and symbols of faithfulness, both because of their lovely smell, and their protective and healing connotations. Teacup Thursday: Roses and Ivy

Image
Good Morning Tea Friends!    Today, I thought I'd share with you our Roses and Ivy Teapot and Teacup. I love the way this teapot is shaped, so unusual! It's one of my favorites, but then again, I'm a little partial to Roses and Ivy!  I hope you enjoy them! ~ Miss Spenser   We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.   ~Frederick Keonig Other's Who Are Participating in Teacup Thursday!
